The World's Hottest Italian Teenagers are Heading Down Under

Date: June 30, 2011

Il Volo, three teenage tenors from Italy, are about to take New Zealand by storm with the announcement of a visit to our shores to promote the release of their self-titled debut album.

They've already wowed America after a breathtaking performance during the semi-final of American Idol, which shot their album to #2 on the iTunes chart. A Top 10 debut on the Billboard chart followed, along with another great TV performance on Ellen.

Il Volo showcases the astonishing vocal talent of Piero Barone (17 years old), Ignazio Boschetto (16 years old), and Gianluca Ginoble (16 years old) as they perform both new and traditional classically influenced pop songs.
Prepare to be blown away by the undeniable vocal talent from these Italian teen idols; you simply have to see them to believe it! Luckily for us, they're bringing their big voices to little New Zealand on the 8th and 9th of August.

Universal Music Group released Il Volo's self-titled debut album in Italy November. In less than three months, with no radio or video airplay, no single sales and only a few television performances, it was certified platinum. Il Volo became the first Italian artists to sign with Geffen Records in the United States.
Produced by the legendary Humberto Gatica (Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli) and the world renowned Italian singer/producer Tony Renis, Il Volo was recorded in Los Angeles and Rome, as well as at London's famous Abbey Road Studios. Geffen Records Chairman Ron Fair executive produced the album.
